Screaming Gratitude

Sarah Dufresne

Sarah Dufresne first turned to yoga and meditation to find relief from feelings of anxiety and depression in 2000, and appreciated its calming and grounding effects. Sarah offers fourteen years of yoga and meditation experience along with a background in nutrition and special interest in Ayurvedic studies. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Kripalu Center in Lenox, Massachusetts, with Priti Robyn Ross and Sudha Carolyn Lundeen. In addition, she is Reiki level 1 certified and incorporates her knowledge of alternative healing modalities into her teaching. Sarah continuously thirsts for opportunities to deepen her own active practice, which enriches and informs her teaching.
To put it simply, Sarah lives what she teaches.  Brimming with compassion, grace and a genuine inquiry for life, Sarah teaches students from this place. Sarah is grateful for the community she has found in yoga, and hopes to share this with others.  In her classes, she creates a nurturing atmosphere in which students of all levels feel comfortable to explore the connection between breath, body, and movement, while also having a fun opportunity to let go! Her enthusiasm and love for yoga and meditation are truly contagious! Off the mat, Sarah loves to write, spend time in the outdoors, and catch up with friends over a good cup of tea!
Swami Kripalu believed that the most sacred transformational practice anyone can do is self-observation without judgment.  Sarah firmly believes that through taking her yoga off the mat and into the world it has enabled her a sense of ease and compassion within her own inquiry of LIFE.
