Rebecca D’Onofrio is a certified Meditation Instructor having completed The Sacred Path of the Warrior and Guide Training from the Vajrayana Buddhist tradition. It is a series of in-depth trainings, courses, and meditation retreats that take about 5 years to complete. Rebecca also studies under renowned Buddhist Meditation teacher, author, composer, producer, and musician David Nichtern and served as his assistant, supporting him during many Meditation Teacher Trainings and helping to develop and format course content and curriculum.
Rebecca is a certified Yoga Instructor, registered with Yoga Alliance (E-RYT and YACEP) having completed a Yoga Teacher Training under nationally known Movement Instructor, Empowered Yoga founder, and Balanced Athlete founder Johnny Gillespie. Rebecca is also a Balanced Athlete Coach, a certified Functional Movement Screen Assessor, and is an experienced weight lifter and hiker. Rebecca has been practicing meditation and yoga since 2002 and teaching since 2013.
Rebecca has also completed a Trauma-Informed Teacher Training under Hala Khouri, one of the creators of Off the Mat, Into the World which is a non-profit organization dedicated to utilizing the tools of yoga and somatic practices within a justice framework to inspire people to be conscious leaders of change. In addition to that, Rebecca also completed the Healing Trauma Summit, an immersive course in the healing practices of trauma led by world-renowned experts in the field.
Rebecca is the owner and founder of RDYoga, LLC which is a company that creates both online and onsite wellness programing for businesses, universities, and other institutions.
In addition to that, Rebecca is a Certified Hospice Volunteer who provides support to people who are preparing to die and actively going through the dying process as well as their families. Rebecca also served as a member of the End of Life Committee which provides Buddhist rituals and practices for the deceased.
Rebecca is also a vocalist, musician, and chant artist having recorded and performed music at an array of programs, retreats, and events. Rebecca uses the medium of music, voice, and dance to inspire personal awakening and embodied connection to life.
