Hi! Have we met? Perhaps we have, in yoga class or in passing at the studio. If not, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Molly Jackson, the owner of Flowforms Yoga since August 2013. I didn't know at the time, but my journey to get here began about 15 years ago. It was in a tiny yoga class in a house on Elm Street in Worcester with Jen Faldetta, one of the founders of Flowforms Yoga. I remember her showing us how to warm and cup our hands over our eyes to release tension before starting our practice. It changed my life.
It was also at this time that I was studying glass blowing at The Worcester Center for Crafts. In 2000, I started my first business, making glass jewelry. This venture brought me, my jewelry and accessories into the fashion world. Runways in several Fashion Weeks in New York, Los Angeles, Japan... features in many international Vogue Magazines... adorning celebrities... orders from shops around the globe...and other unexpected and exciting places. Including coming full-circle, back to The Worcester Center for Crafts to teach, something I continue to do now.
In 2012, looking for a shift in pace, I came back to Jen's yoga classes. After a year of becoming more involved in the studio, I was offered to buy the business. I said to myself, "This is coming at me, I'd better say,'yes!'".
I have developed Flowforms Yoga in partnership with our highly educated, passionate instructors who help guide us all, in mind, body and spirit, on our personal journeys. I'd like to further develop this studio with more of your contributions. I've said this to many of you in-person, I'm always open to and want to know thoughts, suggestions, ideas, questions, concerns, requests... good, bad or otherwise. In this spirit, I'm asking you today to take five minutes to help me hear and understand better what it is that you want from your yoga studio.
This studio has introduced me to a lovely community of warm, generous and caring people - you! I am grateful for this experience and the exploration it continues to provide, also, for this opportunity to offer the space and time for you to enjoy your practice. With so many choices of where to experience yoga, I appreciate your choosing to practice peace, treat yourself and enjoy your time with us!
Thank you,
Molly
