Flowforms Yoga is is inspired by a Tantric Yoga philosophy.
Tantra is a Sanskrit word, derived from the root word tan, which
translates as "to weave, to loom" or "to extend, expand, spread,
continue, spin out, to put forth, show, or manifest." Like the
universe we inhabit, Tantra is continually expanding, spreading,
and manifesting itself like a "cosmic weave," made up of different
energies. We are part of this weave, as are our ancestors, all
life, and every type of energy and matter. This includes thoughts,
actions, and all physical matter.
Honoring Tantric philosophy is to honor the interconnectedness of
all life. The practice weaves together the body and spirit, and
celebrates all of life as pulsation and union of opposites. The
divine feminine (Shakti) dances and unites with the divine
masculine (Shiva). It is the ancient form of quantum physics, the
original string theory. All of life is a pulsation, vibration and
flow of energy - a dance of pulsating particles. The essential
vibration of life is within you and within all things. The rhythms
of life are in the breath, in the soul. Tantra is the origins of
sacred ecology, treating the earth a living breathing entity - of
which we are all part.
Familiarity with Tantra can help a person
to enjoy life to the fullest. It can help do away with guilt or
fear, break down self imposed or limiting cultural boundaries, and
guide us in our search for solutions. Tantra teaches us to become
familiar with our mystical nature, and when we do so, our
boundaries expand. We enter into new domains of awareness. We
become empowered, more fulfilled, and more perfect.
By embracing this philosophy, we become
stewards - of the earth - of our bodies - of all creatures we
encounter. Yoga is an offering of thanks and gratitude - for being
gifted with the body of divine substance. It is our highest goal
and aspiration to celebrate the basic goodness and light of life,
in ourselves and others.
Tantric Yoga is a form of spiritual
alchemy, by which we discover the energetic dimensions of the body
and the "deep space" of consciousness. It is a sacred process by
which we transform ourselves on every level. Through yoga we
access the vibrational essence of the self. Through the power and
wisdom and practice of the physical body - we change, balance,
alter our fundamental vibration. Yoga enables you to access the
light body - the part of the being beyond space and time and
boundary. |
